Experience the joy of watercolor painting at Queens Farm!

Join watercolor instructor Tim Savage in a fun filled three session watercolor course this January, February, or March. Join Tim’s step-by-step approach to teaching this joyfully spontaneous painting medium. Experienced painters will enjoy creating beautiful paintings from the projects Tim brings to class.

Three sessions each month will feature a unique watercolor project designed to develop the student’s painting ability. In each 3 hour session Tim will demonstrate steps in the development of the painting, then guide students individually through the painting’s process.

Timothy Savage is a fine arts professional dedicated to spreading the joy of artistic creation. As Great Neck Community Education’s watercolor teacher he has developed an approach to watercolor painting that is accessible to all levels of students, from beginner to experienced painter. His instruction in watercolor painting at Queens Farms is designed to be enjoyable and rewarding for all students. 

Tim is an experienced professional illustrator and graphic designer, as well as a senior educator at Queen County Farm Museum. His award winning paintings and drawings are in collections throughout Long Island.

• Queens Farm is smoke-free. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises.
• Do not pick produce, or flowers, walk into growing fields or climb trees.
• For the health of our livestock, please do not feed animals anything except food for sale on site.
• Pets are not allowed, for the safety of the farm animals and visitors. Service animals are permitted as described by the ADA.
• Queens Farm is home to a variety of livestock including hens, steer, alpacas, sheep, goats and pigs, who live in designated coops and paddocks on the farm. Guests are required to remain outside of fenced areas at all times during their visit.
• Our 47 acres of grounds contain wooded areas, which are home to local wildlife. Do not feed or approach any animals you may encounter in their natural habitat.
• Strollers, backpacks, and bottled water are permitted on the grounds. No designated storage for strollers, bags, or coats.
• For the safety of our staff and visitors, there is no bicycling, rollerblading or electric scootering is allowed on-site. Bicycle racks are available on-site.
• Casual visitor photography is permitted, however staged photos, photo shoots and commercial photography requires a farm issued permit and payment of applicable fees.
